The Salted Table

Our Story

The kitchen has always been the place where we feel most connected: to our food, to one another, and to the family who came before us.

Our family traditions were shaped around a pot on the stove, dough beneath our hands, and a place made at the table. Our parents and grandparents showed us how much love could be held in a homemade meal. Their kitchens brought us together. Everyday meals became memories, and the skills they shared became traditions we carry into our own homes.

The Salted Table grew from our wish to share that feeling.

As a family, we created The Salted Table as an invitation to slow down, cook something from scratch, and find joy in gathering. Tucked behind Salt Culture in Encinitas, our workshop kitchen and curated market bring together good ingredients, thoughtful goods, and hands-on classes that help make the kitchen feel like home.

We want to help families feel connected to their food and confident in preparing it. From making bread to gathering around a shared meal, we believe these simple rituals give us something worth holding onto: time together, a sense of belonging, and traditions to pass along.

Whether you come to learn a new skill, pick up something for supper, or gather around our table, we hope you leave with something to bring into your own family’s everyday life.

Our dream is to pass along what was so lovingly shared with us, and make room for new memories along the way.

With love,

Sophie, P.J. & Jenna
